Artist Statement

The thrill of the moment when everything hangs in the air; everything could go horribly wrong or it could result in something extraordinary. In the instant where all possibilities are both true and untrue simultaneously, that is where I find my motivation.

As an artist, I explore the passing of time and how it affects each aspect of life. Combining geometric and organic visuals through an exploration of color, pattern, and light relationships with a specific attention to material, I create abstract imagery that emphasizes marks we make as humans. The use of video helps to express change in such a way that viewers connect to the message of my work while leaving room for individual connections to each piece.
